Thorough research was conducted to understand the needs and pain points of potential users to inform design decisions and improve the overall user experience.
Background
The sports memorabilia and merchandise market is faced with the challenge of providing fans with exclusive and valuable experiences, products and NFTs that are easily accessible and secure. Additionally, the existing market does not offer a viable solution for the proper utilization of the $BLOCK and $ASSET tokens. As a result, there is a need to create a platform that addresses these issues, provides utility for the $BLOCK and $ASSET tokens, and offers a new, unique and engaging experience for sports fans.
Objectives
Design and develop the Blaze raffle platform focused on creating a completely on-chain platform, utilizing the Solana blockchain, creating a deflationary mechanism through token burning, minting NFTs, and offering a range of exciting prizes for users to win. This was also intended to be a white label solution in the future.
Methods
As CXO of Blockasset, prioritized UX for Blaze platform with following methods:
User Research
User Flow Design
Based on the findings of the user research, the UX team created a detailed user flow that outlined the steps users would take to participate in the raffles and interact with the platform.
On Chain Integration
To ensure that all processes on the platform were secure and transparent, the UX team worked closely with the development team to integrate the platform with the Solana blockchain. This enabled all raffles to be settled on-chain from the front end by the community.
Quality Assurance
Thorough QA testing was conducted to ensure the platform was functioning as expected and to address any potential user experience issues.
User Feedback
The platform was continuously improved based on user feedback and suggestions, ensuring that the end-user experience was always top-notch.
Results
The UX design of the platform was user-friendly, allowing for easy and intuitive use by users of all levels of experience.
The launch of Blaze was a huge success. The platform achieved its purpose and objectives of providing a seamless and secure on-chain raffle experience for users. The community was able to participate in raffles for NFTs, signed memorabilia, fan experiences, and yelir merchandise, all settled on-chain from the front end. The token utility and deflationary burning mechanism of the $BLOCK and $ASSET tokens proved to be successful, as users were able to use their tokens to enter raffles while also benefiting from a decreasing supply and increasing token price.
The results of the launch showed a high level of engagement and user satisfaction, with many users praising the platform’s simplicity and security. The platform’s success has also helped to promote the use of blockchain technology, particularly in the sports and fan experience industries. The future plans of offering Blaze as a white-label service/solution to other blockchain companies has also garnered a great deal of interest and attention.
In conclusion, the launch of Blaze was a success, meeting its purpose and objectives and providing a valuable on-chain raffle experience for users. The platform’s success has the potential to further promote the use of blockchain technology and drive innovation in the sports and fan experience industries.
