Background

On behalf of NRG, the Bursting Silver team and I were tasked with conducting user research and UX design recommendations for the Epic Credit Solution software. The goal was to improve the overall user experience and enhance the software’s functionality and usability.

Objectives

Listen to understand user pain-points
Define opportunities to improve
Share findings with teams to improve the user experience

Methods

To gather insights, we conducted user research studies, including user interviews, surveys, and task analysis. The research aimed to understand the users’ needs, pain points, and preferences. We also had a platform walkthrough & process review to understand the business goals. Based on the findings, we created user personas that represented the target audience and their characteristics and behaviours. The findings were then used to identify areas for improvement in the software’s functionality and usability, leading to the development of UX recommendations aimed at enhancing the overall user experience.

Results

The research found that users struggled with the software’s navigation and found it difficult to access key features. They also expressed a need for a more intuitive and user-friendly interface.

Based on the findings, we provided UX recommendations to improve the overall user experience. These included:

Simplifying the navigation structure to make it easier for users to access key features. Improving the interface design to make it more intuitive and visually appealing.
Implementing personalized recommendations based on users personas.

The collaboration between NRG, Bursting Silver, House of Code, and myself resulted in a successful user research and UX design project for the Epic Credit Solution software. The findings and recommendations significantly improved the user experience and enhanced the software’s functionality and usability. Our approach demonstrated the importance of user-centric design in creating a successful product that meets the needs and preferences of its users.
