Background

WeRise is a union management software that was designed to streamline and simplify the processes of managing a union. The current software solutions in the market were outdated and lacked modern features, making it difficult for union management to keep up with the changing needs of their members. This led to the collaboration between Bursting Silver, myself, and their client – Unite Here, to develop a solution that would meet the needs of union management and their members.

Objectives

The goal of the WeRise software was to provide a user-friendly, efficient, and effective solution to union management. This would help union management save time, increase efficiency, and improve communication with their members.

Methods

As the UX lead, I co-ordinated with the BSI team to apply the following methods. We used a user-centric approach to create a solution that met the needs of their clients and their members. This involved conducting extensive research and user testing to gather insights on the needs, pain points, and desired features of union management and members. I used a variety of UX research methods, including surveys, focus groups, and individual interviews, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the target audience. The insights gained from this research were then used to inform the design and development of the WeRise software.

Results

WeRise has received positive feedback from both union management and members, who have praised its ease of use and effectiveness. The software has helped union management to save time and increase efficiency, allowing them to focus on serving their members. WeRise has also improved communication between union management and members, which has resulted in increased satisfaction and engagement among members. The software’s user-friendly interface, efficient tools, and effective features have helped to achieve the goal of providing a user-friendly, efficient, and effective solution to union management.
