When I joined Meridian in June 2018, it was Ontario's largest credit union. Tasked with visioning Motusbank—a fully digital arm with no branches—I built seamless web & mobile flows for deposit account opening, unsecured loans, and Canada’s first fully digital mortgage pre-approval process, helping the platform onboard 10 000+ members in under a year.

Design end-to-end flows for accounts, loans, and credit—making Motusbank a leader in Canadian digital finance.
Over ten months, I mapped key user journeys, crafted a modular component library in Adobe XD, and worked closely with the digital bank team. My work set the standard for speed, accessibility, and trust in digital banking—culminating in award-winning features liked Price Drop.

I led discovery workshops to align business goals with user needs and compliance. We prioritized flows—account setup, mortgages, and retail refunds—and validated early prototypes with live users before full-scale development.
Operational Execution
Design sprints, cross-functional handoffs, and rigorous QA—guaranteeing launch readiness.
We had bi-weekly UX sprints with product managers, compliance, development, and marketing teams—using rapid prototypes and a reusable component library. Every feature moved through our on-chain QA playbook, catching friction points early and ensuring a polished launch.

Motusbank transformed in-branch services into a seamless digital bank—earning national awards, record adoption, and top industry UX rankings.
In under a year, Motusbank onboarded 10 000+ members via intuitive web & mobile flows. We earned Best Credit Union of the Year at the 2019 Canadian FinTech & AI Awards, and Meridian’s Price Drop feature achieved 17 % adoption—placing us at the upper end of the 10–20 % industry benchmark for optional feature take-up. Surviscor also ranked Meridian Credit Union #1 for desktop UX in 2020 (71 % peer score), underscoring the consistency and trust woven into every design.
